The situation
The incumbents had years of brand equity, deep ecosystem relationships and budget to spend on attention. HaHa had fewer than a hundred daily actives, no channels, and a product that was still rough.
Distribution had to be earned on a read of where this audience already spent its time and what it responded to.
What we built
Positioning came first. We defined the ICP, wrote the messaging framework, and built the playbooks every channel would run against.
Then the community, which became the moat. We built a daily presence on X in the register that platform rewards, and turned the attention it produced into a Discord that passed 300,000 members. That gave people a reason to stay while the product caught up, and it gave every launch an audience on day one.
Partnerships came off the back of it. We closed more than twenty across exchanges, wallets, NFT communities, KOL groups and DeFi applications, each one built to keep producing after the announcement went out.
We shipped a referral program that lifted activation 40%, and lifecycle campaigns that lifted thirty-day retention 25%. Dashboards and on-chain analytics through Dune and DefiLlama tied the growth work back to revenue.
